Dear Real Pay User
Over the course of 2016, the Real Pay team has operated with a renewed focus on company values. Specifically the first value, Learning through constant innovation, gave rise to a host of new product and system developments.
Against this backdrop, we are thrilled to announce that Real Pay Namibia now offers Credit Payments to registered Users.
Product innovation: Payouts
This product enables Users to pay out funds to account holders’ accounts. The funds settle in real time to FNB bank accounts and a next-day service is in operation to all other banks in Namibia, provided you adhere to the 15:00 cut-off time.
Please contact our Windhoek office (061 25 6919) in January and request that the product be activated on your User. Once you are registered for the additional product, a Payouts tab will be added to the system home screen. This function will be limited to nominated administrators appointed by Users to manage the credit payments.
Upon opening the tab, the administrator will have access to a menu featuring the following options:
- Payouts Setup – edit instalment, daily and monthly limits
- Authorisation Setup – allocate authorisation roles
- Authorise/Reject Payouts – set up Users, release or cancel payments
- Resend Authorisation Notification – reminder e-mail sent to User
- Fund Group Balance – view funding amount balance
- Fund Account – administrator request funds for payouts to be transferred into merchants’ accounts
- Dropdown Menu Containing Reports – view period-specific reports for payout transactions and account funding requests
Preparing for payouts
When authorised Users open Client Details under the Client Contracts tab, an additional section labelled Payout Account Details is displayed. All the relevant information regarding the account into which the credit is to be paid is captured here. The User can then click on the Create Contract button to create a real-time or future-dated payout contract with a single or multiple instalments. Selecting the correct product and entering the precise amount are of the utmost importance. Click on the Finish button to complete the capturing process.
The appointed administrator will receive a notification to Authorise or Reject the payment. While the payment is pending (waiting for authorisation), the transaction status will be HOLD. Should the amount be higher than the merchant’s available funds, the transaction will remain in FUTURE status.

December salary dates
Keep in mind that many employers move pay dates earlier in December in order to accommodate employees going on leave. If you consulted with your clients and received permission to adjust collection dates and would like to move these transactions via the bulk editing function, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the necessary details.
It is of the utmost importance that all users and merchants have signed mandates for all transactions processed.
