Once paid, paid for good, non-disputable payments protect your revenue from chargebacks, reversals, and unauthorised disputes.

Non-disputable payment capability means that once a transaction is successfully completed, neither the customer nor their bank can reverse it. This is one of the most commercially significant features in the RealPay product suite, because every disputable payment in a portfolio represents a potential revenue reversal that your business has already counted on. Non-disputable status is achieved through two distinct mechanisms: bank-level mandate authentication (DebiCheck, Capitec Recurring), and credit-push payment where the customer actively initiates and authenticates the transfer (Instant EFT, PayShap, Absa Pay, Capitec Pay, Nedbank Pay). In both cases, the payment is considered final by the banking system.

How it works

For authenticated debit products, the customer's bank records the mandate approval before collections begin. Any collection that falls within the agreed mandate terms is treated as authorised and cannot be reversed. For credit-push products, the customer's own authentication of the outgoing transfer creates the same finality, no third party can reverse a payment the account holder actively sent.
