Real Pay Seminars 

Real Pay attended and hosted numerous conferences and seminars during March, April and May, providing valuable input and sharing insights on the modernisation of payments and the implementation of a sound “digital payments strategy”.
 
Some of the highlights: – Real Pay is proud to have been part of the ITSIUG 2022 Conference for Universities in Southern Africa that took place from 28 February to 2 March at the Century City Convention Centre in Cape Town. – We attended the Schoolscape Conference in both Cape Town and Johannesburg on 4 and 11 March, respectively.- Real Pay hosted our first Modernisation of Payments Seminar and Workshop in Botswana on 15 March at the Masa Square Hotel, which was attended by a number of stakeholders from various industries. Pieter Swanepoel shared insights on worldwide trends in digital payments and Luan Cloete emphasised on what it takes to cater for the “post-pandemic” client. Thank you to the FutureSoft team for joining us on the day. – The second Modernisation of Payments Seminar took place on 13 April in Cape Town at the Protea Hotel in Techno Park and was well attended by current and new clients as well as key stakeholders in the industry.- On 11 May we hosted the Gauteng leg of our Modernisation of Payments Seminar at Emperors Palace with a fantastic turnout, followed by a workshop on the Real Pay value offering. – The 11th annual Debt Collection Convention was hosted by the FutureSoft team at Emperors Palace, and Real Pay is proud to have been one of two main sponsors of this spectacular event.We are excited to announce that we hosted our first Real Pay Seminar in Zambia on 24 May 2022 in Lusaka at the Southern Sun Hotel. If you have any business interests in Zambia, please get in touch via info@realpay.co.za for more detail about our local footprint and expertise in Africa.

Online Platform New Look-and-Feel
 
As previously mentioned in various communique, the new look-and-feel of our User interface is now live and accessible.
 
Users will have access to both platforms when logging in, with the option to either use the new version or the current version for a limited period of time.
 
Thank you for your positive feedback. The new user-friendly interface is at the core of our customer experience and we look forward to continue leading the way in digital payments in Africa
 


Cyber Security: Supply Chain Scam Tips
 

The ongoing war in Ukraine and the lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreaks in China have drastically impacted supply chains for industries around the world. 
 
Another wave of supply chain-related phishing and social engineering attacks is expected.

Fake advertisements for hard-to-find products, spoofing of shipping delay notifications and misleading articles about well-known organisations are some of the methods used by cybercriminals.
 
A few tips to help you spot supply chain scams: 

1. Never click on a link or download an attachment in an email that you were not expecting.

2. Watch out for sensational or shocking headlines about the world’s supply chains. These headlines could lead to articles that contain disinformation, or false information that is intentionally designed to mislead you.

3. If you are expecting a shipment and receive a related email, confirm that the message is legitimate before clicking on any links in the email. Look for details such as the order number, the purchase date and the payment method used for the
